Blogging Rugby League; Big Kickoff

More of a note than anything else, but yesterday was kick-off day for Rugby League; Keighley were off to Whitehaven today in the Northern Rail Cup, which sounds like it’s going to be colder than cold and proverbially long.

I’ve noticed some reasonable blogs around: Treiziste Diary, Times Online RL, TGG. Though how anyone could have come up with a “team to watch” including the current GB no.7 beats me.

  2. EJH: Leeds are off to play Melbourne for the World Club Challenge in a few weeks time, so they moved the Leeds-Hull KR game up to make space in the fixture list.

  3. Who me, trolling? It’s all rugby, isn’t it?

Though it does seem a bit silly to start club competition at the same time as a major international competition…

  4. It’s almost a tradition that the RFL fixtures committee invariably schedules big matches so they clash with huge, media-devouring events.
